Aerobics, circuit training, treadmills, kickboxing, yoga. Over the years I’ve tried them all. I’d love every minute of
it, until I’d wind up injuring myself. Tweaking a muscle here, pulling another one there. The older I got, the more I began to put off exercise, worried that I’d end up with just another minor annoying injury. But I began noticing that as my exercise routine faded away, my balance began to falter and my endurance became exactly what you’d expect from someone who spends half her day in front of a computer. So after many years of thinking about trying a personal trainer, I finally signed up. It immediately became my “I should have had a V-8” moment. When I started working with Cynthia last fall, I could have kicked myself for not having started sooner. Or let’s say I could have kicked myself if I’d had that kind of flexibility and balance. Without diving too much into the mushy deep end, I have to say that I’ve never laughed so hard, trained so hard, and had so much fun in a gym. Cynthia has an infectiously positive attitude, a knack for keeping the routine and the conversation varied and interesting, and she keeps me laughing in the process – one of the most crucial elements of good health, in my book. Not once have I tweaked or pulled a muscle under her watch, since throughout our banter she doggedly pays attention to my inattentions. It’s been nearly a year and what a difference I’ve seen! In addition to being more toned, my balance and
endurance are back and hey, now I think I’m even flexible enough to kick myself!

Strength training to me was actually quite boring although I know it’s something we must do. I would spend all my time going from one machine to the next like an assembly line so over time I would get bored and quit. I knew, though, that I needed a change so I figured maybe a trainer could help me out. That’s when I met Cynthia! She listened to me, asked about what I liked and more importantly, what I didn’t like. Then she designed these programs that not only got me off the machines but were exciting and challenging. The workouts always engaged my whole body – not just “spot trained” which left me feeling strong. The great part too was everything was online so I could print it out and still train on my “off-trainer” days. I realized very quickly that I can get an effective workout whether I’m at the gym with all their equipment or when I’m traveling and all I have is me and my hotel room.

I have trained myself under the instruction of countless popular magazines for 10 years, only to be injured time and time again. at the age of 32, with little progress in many years, I entrusted my health and performance capabilities to Cynthia. In my training, under her supervision I have been extremely impressed by her dedication to me and my recovery. Each workout seems to be thought through from beginning to end with my safety and progress in mind. I highly recommend her service to anyone needing to improve their lives.
